Important information

IMPORTANT NOTICE

We would like to reassure all of our patients that our sites in Kibworth, Fleckney and Market Harborough are still open for pre-booked appointments. This includes Kibworth Medical Centre and the dispensary for the collection of medications.
There has been a longer than anticipated delay with our Engage Consult responses, but Leicestershire Health Informatics have been working tirelessly on our behalf to enable remote working where practicable. Over the next 24 hours you should notice an improved response time for all queries.
Appointments are available online, and you can continue to order your medication online or by posting your repeat medication slip to us.
All telephone calls have been diverted from our call centre at Kibworth Medical Centre and are being answered by the staff at our branch sites. You can call any of our telephone numbers as we have a cloud based telephone system and your calls are automatically diverted to the next available person. You will unfortunately experience a longer than average waiting time and we apologise for this, but all calls will be answered.
The majority of our patients have been extremely supportive and we would like to express our thanks for your kind words and offer of help.
Please remember that we are open, we are just working differently. Please do still continue to contact us if you have any health concerns or queries.
Thank you.

Patient Update

We have noticed a number of negative comments on the local social media sites, and we would like to be able to answer some of your most frequently asked questions. We are doing this in various formats and media – paper/on-line/website.

We intend to have a social media presence going forwards, and have launched the South Leicestershire Medical Group Facebook page. We will be posting timely informative communications on this moderated site, and hope that this will help with the misinformation that has previously been posted elsewhere.

Please click here to view our latest Practice Update.

We are also working with a new website provider, and the new website will be available shortly. The website address will remain the same

www.southleicesteshiremedicalgroup.co.uk

We are hugely grateful to our Patient Participation Group. This group is open to all patients who are registered with our Practice. We meet on the first Thursday of every month at 1pm, and due to Covid-19, this is currently via Microsoft Teams. If you would like to join the PPG, and help influence our future service delivery, please visit our website for further details, or email the PPG: This email address is being protected from spambots. FLU SEASON 2020/2021

Due to the Covid-19 Pandemic, we are running our Flu Clinics slightly differently this year. This is to ensure that both patients and staff are kept as safe as possible and to enable social distancing.

If you are an eligible patient, please book your free NHS flu vaccination now.

Please be aware that the walk through clinics will not be suitable for patients with mobility issues as seating is not available.

Please contact the surgery if you are unsure and we will book you an appropriate appointment.

For all flu clinics, there will be no facility to undress. Please ensure that you arrive wearing short sleeved, loose fitting clothing.
