Health Visitors

Our Health Visitors provide help and advice with all aspects of children’s health including developmental progress and well baby clinics. They can be contacted at Kibworth Medical Centre (0116 279 3308), The Old School Surgery (0116 279 2422) or Two Shires Surgery (01858 411521).

Practice Therapist/Counsellor

Our Practice Therapist visits some of our locations regularly. They provide a comprehensive range of services, such as counselling which can be accessed via any of the Doctors. Please talk to your doctor if you feel you would benefit this.

Attached to our Practice are midwives who run clinics at some locations. If you are pregnant please make an appointment to see the Doctor first, who will commence your antenatal care. Midwives also undertake domiciliary visits. The midwives are employed directly by Leicestershire Partnership Trust as part of the Market Harborough Community Midwifery Team and can be contacted either via one of our Surgeries or directly by leaving a message on 01858 438142.

Our community Physiotherapist provides essential support and treatment for those patients unable to attend out-patients physiotherapy at Market Harborough Hospital.

District Nurses

Your District Nurses are based at Market Harborough District Hospital and can be contacted on 0300 300 0027 or you can contact one of our Surgeries. The District Nurses will visit patients who have been discharged by the hospital and those who are temporarily or permanently housebound. Please note District Nurses organise their own timetables and work independently from Two Shires Medical Practice.

Other Members of the Primary Care Team

South Leicestershire Medical Group is part of the East Leicestershire and Rutland CCG, and in addition to the staff we directly employ, the Practice is supported by medical professionals such as Dieticians and Speech Therapists commissioned by the CCG to work within our surgeries and local community the details of which can be obtained from reception.
